A visit to kalyaninagar was not easy a few years back. We had to travel thru crowed roads very dusty and a kind off left out trader feel. five years back the roads so narrow hardly could find greens in kalyaninagar . We always felt a lot can be done to improve the place. IT boom changed it all for kalyaninagar. The tar roads changed to the cemented roads. Two way gave way to the one ways. The entire view got spacey and the sky looked brighter. Many builders invested in different structures. Building architect stood out like cubes of the modern age. Many posh colonies mushroomed. Many malls cashed in on kalyaninagar. International schools became a part of kalyaninagar culture. Out of the barren land grew all concert structure. Old structures converted to modern eating joints. Row houses with classy pink feel stood out of the browns. It parks buzzing with the future progress. Kalyanigar roads all filled with excitement. Enjoying the ride thru kalyaninagar and people all excited and ready to groove on. Old gave ways to the new and altered there style to. I feel so much better visiting kalyaninagar Now!

Changing Range

Range hills bring back memories of my childhood. I used to play cricket for the range hills team. Cricket pitch all cemented and hard, ball used to skid thru so fast I hardly could see it. My friends who lived in range hills always had a tough outlook never give up. Range hill never gambled on sophistication back then.

Now range hill is a different ball game, the roads neatly done up. Places like kiva, Symphony and some wonderful eat outs placed all over. Educational institutes like Symbiosis business management right in the heart of range hills. Symbiosis dome shines with pride. Old ammunition factory houses made of stone still exist with wonderful entrance and lovely looking flowers all over. The road crossing so well designed a perfect division of lanes. Army hospital army campus speard all along. Army canteen look and feel is so much like the British raj.

Hundred years old rain tree provides shelter to so many. Roads are quite and peaceful. Army made guruwara is wonderful place to worship. Range hills is extremely quite not so friendly place. Range hill represents men and not boys. Many known IT companies offices reside in rang hills. Whenever I visit range hills I never felt it to be a part of pune. Range hills is exclusive and has its own lifestyle.

Chak De Chakan

The place chakan is highlighted so much in the past two years that the expectations run high. Even prominent builders have invested in one bhk schemes in chakan. Expectation can run dry. chakan city is very ordinary. Frankly the main city is like an over grown village. Lifestyle is very ordinary. Sense of education seems to be low.
Chakan midc is the highlighted area, companies like Volkswagen, Bajaj Auto,Mercedes Benz, several auto component makers and logistic companies. Power, water supply and roads all are in place. Although most of these companies have hit a rock bottom and are hoping recession will get over soon. International airport also runs a long way to completion. But every cloud has a sliver lining.

Alandi The Last Wish

My grandmother’s first death anniversary and we all decided to visit alandi. Alandi is where Saint Dnyaneshwar, after translating the Bhagavad-Gita into Marathi attained samādhi in a cave. We all where so excited as we wanted to fulfill my grandmother’s last wish to visit alandi. She also wanted to donate a book which she had written. All along the way we could see army land and army training schools. We all need to pass thru the heavy protected land before reaching the holy land of Saint Dnyaneshwar. Roads look narrow but expand on the way to heaven. Caste and creed matter none on the way to the temple. The best way to visit alandi is to drop your ego and fill yourself with pure love. Which is asking for too much in today’s world of hate. One should not plan one should not set a goals and just let it flow. Please do not have expectations about the place as we all know how the lotus grows in dirty pond.

All along the way we saw different farm houses for people to relax and eat. Even my cousin got married in this holy place amazing. So many old trees along the way stand tall as if they are inviting you. People in alandi are very simple and have no issues of modern world. Yes they do find ways of making money from visitors cant blame them they need money to run such a holy place and a family.

Temple complex has been built near the spot of Sant Dnyaneshwar's samadhi. It is visited by thousands of pilgrims, and in particular, those of the Varkari. Houses are simple and hearty. One would find stone and marble roady works on the way. New townships and individual projects are emerging. Farmers also working hard for growing pure maze.

Alandi town has everything one needs to survive. From metal shops, juice bars, variety stores, teal stalls & restaurants. A small lane leading to the temple filled with small shops with flowers, sweets, toys & bangles. I saw many airtel hoarding in alandi. Even politician publicize themselves next to Saint Dnyaneshwar very funny. I could see many kalnirnay calendars all over. We also picked up few key chains and necklaces for few friends of ours. An amazing shop filled with Sant Dnyaneshwar's photos made us wait and watch. We had to wait for about forty minutes to get a glimpse of Sant Dnyaneshwar's but the wait was worth while. I felt extremely calm and quite. We all felt so satisfied and uplifted. On our way back we had a heavy lunch with loads of fun. My father looked up at the sky passively for his mother’s soul to rest in peace...

Ambegaon 2008

Ambegaon one of the most talked about places in pune. I used to visit ambegaon quite often in the year 2000. Enjoying the drive in into the hills so mystic and untouched.
The two rivers ghod and dimbe provide lots of water so no water shortage. In India when a river strikes the gods turn in so will the famous temple bhimshanker temple help them.
All along the way we could taste sugarcane juice watch out for parrots, peacock and bulbul. Ambegaon has a highway crossing the land. Buildings are located at the base to the top of the hills for a great view. Ambegaon is a little isolated a feeling of let away and alone. But makes u think. Homes are quite new and progressive. Many brick factories and wonderful land to gaze fills it up. If you are a picnic freak carry some food and enjoy the Indian country side. Many upcoming budding commercial hubs around. With hills and few manmade roads cutting across making there way up. The rivers have a lot of support from the greens. A modern bridge under the river as long as one km cuts thru with amazing heights. The structure of the bridge is rock solid and worth a mention. Aundh Pune Gets Real

Aundh has really developed so much in a short period of time I can’t believe it.
The roads are broad. Dividers look greener and the skylines look brighter. So many
Eucalyptus trees all around wow. Roads rock steady as ever for a smooth ride of joy. The food malls and shopping malls have an uneasy buzz and tons of people and promotions all around. The crossword, pizza hut, bonsai, placed right in the center of aundh. Luxuries cars all over parked like dinky cars so elegant .Tons of hoarding all over promoting aundh real estate. Aundh has many IT hubs and Commercial hubs placed all over. Not to forget the mom and dad shops around.

Parihar chowk the glory of aundh a serious crossing in life. Check out polka dots and shiv sagar in aundh for some continental and south Indian food its tasty and wonderful place. Aundh is flooded by international school. With spensers right round the corner. The skyline in aundh stand tall with hi-fi buildings with luxurious apartments. With ample amount of fuel around. Aundh also is filled with some upmarket social clubs. Aundh is still not crowded and is free of pollution to some extend. The service apartments in aundh rock .there are many societies in aundh which have been there for ages like the posh sindh and national housing. Many known politicians stay there . It’s a very cosmo place to live in. To our surprise I came across agricultural fields. Aundh covers everything and anything we can think of.
